Messina Hof

Messina Hof, a South East Texas winery was launching a new tasting room location in suburban Houston. They decided to take this opportunity to relaunch their website with the new location, new design, and new features.

This website was a full team collaboration between the client, and our full team. Understanding the local boutique nature of the brand, we designed multiple versions of the site, to create a unique, active, and engaging website. The key for this project was digging deep and finding the right way to work with the client on a design that was not just a great winery website, but the right design for them. Capturing decades of history within the company by including references to styles that are part of their original premises, tasting room, current labels and historical wines.

Once the design was settled upon, the build occurred with a custom WordPress theme, through a tight launch timeframe. This however was not a simple redesign, we first merged 3 distinct domains, and content from 3 separate content management systems into one coherent website. After that, we built functionality for the client to manage event calendars, later expanding that to wine pairings as well. Once the site itself was complete, we worked with a third party agency to integrate website features into the iOS/Android app. Allowing Messina Hof to update events, and pairings in one place that would be fed out to multiple digital experiences.
